PM Modi posts video of ‘memorable moments’ during Mumbai Metro ride | India News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a video on Sunday capturing some “memorable moments” from his ride on the Mumbai Metro. The video features the Prime Minister interacting with various commuters, including youth, workers, and others during his metro journey.
In his post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Memorable moments from the Mumbai Metro. Here are highlights from yesterday’s metro journey.”
The video includes a scene where the Prime Minister is seen enjoying a musical performance by a young girl playing the guitar.

He said, ” It was a pleasure to interact with the students, youth, beneficiaries of Chief Minister Majhi Ladaki Bahin Yojana and the workers who are building the metro.”

PM Modi also traveled from Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Santacruz station on Saturday, where he interacted with students, women benefiting from the Ladki Bahin scheme, and workers.
The ride was part of the inauguration activities for the newly opened Aarey JVLR to BKC section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, Phase 1.
Celebrating the expansion, the Prime Minister tweeted, “Mumbai’s Metro network expands, boosting ‘Ease of Living‘ for people! Congratulations to the people of Mumbai on the inauguration of the Aarey JVLR to BKC section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, Phase – 1.”
The newly inaugurated section, constructed at a cost of Rs 14,120 crore, features 10 stations, with 9 of them being underground. The project aims to enhance connectivity between Mumbai city and its suburbs, with the full operational capacity of Line 3 expected to serve around 12 lakh passengers daily.
Additionally, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, valued at approximately Rs 12,200 crore. This 29-kilometre project includes 20 elevated and 2 underground stations and aims to address the growing transportation demands of Thane, a crucial industrial and commercial hub in Maharashtra.
