NEW DELHI: BJP‘s resounding victory for the third consecutive time in Haryana is a triumph of the unshakable faith of farmers, the poor, backward classes, soldiers, and youth in the double-engine govt led by PM Modi, home minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday.
Shah said Congress indulged in negative and divisive politics, which Haryana decisively rejected. “People of Haryana embraced BJP’s 10-year track record of development and welfare for the poor.Haryana, a land of farmers and soldiers, has sent a strong message to those who go abroad for their vote bank and insult the nation,” he said, making a reference to Rahul Gandhi’s recent US trip.
Expressing gratitude to the people of J&K for giving the highest vote percentage, Shah said during Congress’s tenure, there was a reign of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. “For the first time after the onset of terrorism, historic elections were conducted in a transparent and peaceful manner, and democracy has been revived once again in J&K,” he added.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh said by scoring a spectacular hat-trick of electoral victories in Haryana, BJP has proved that the public has faith in the strong and capable leadership of PM Modi, and politics of good governance and development.
