NEW DELHI: The second day of the 1st Test between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium witnessed some fiery moments on the field.
India’s innings crumbled as they were bowled out for just 46, their lowest-ever Test score at home. In contrast, New Zealand’s batters showcased resilience, with opener Devon Conway leading the charge.
In the 15th over of New Zealand’s innings, Mohammed Siraj, wicketless in his seven overs, had a heated exchange with Conway after being hit for a boundary.The Bengaluru crowd erupted, chanting “DSP, DSP, DSP” in support of Siraj, while others responded with “CSK-CSK-CSK,” highlighting the IPL rivalry between Siraj’s RCB and Conway’s CSK.
Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, commenting on the incident, quipped: “You see the new DSP.”

Despite the exchange, Conway remained unfazed, playing a stellar knock of 91 before falling to Ravichandran Ashwin.
Siraj recently assumed his role as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Telangana after officially reporting to the Director General of Police (DGP).
