Air India on Thursday issued a customer advisory to inform passengers about technical difficulties affecting its contact centers. The airline acknowledged that customers might experience intermittent problems when trying to reach their support executives due to the ongoing issue.
“Our contact centres are currently experiencing technical issues and customers may intermittently not be able to reach our executives,” the airline said in a post on X.
The company assured customers that their team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and expressed appreciation for their patience during the disruption.
“While we are working to resolve the issue, we truly appreciate your understanding and patience during this time, and regret any inconvenience caused,” it said.
Meanwhile, more than 80 flights received fresh bomb threats on Thursday leading to disruption in services.
Sources across airlines said the same handle that posted threats earlier, targeted flights this time.
Under the newly changed protocol, such mass threats from the same handle are treated as non-specific to minimise disruptions by not requiring diversions.
