NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to youth across the country under the Rozgar Mela initiative.
Speaking via video conferencing, PM Modi highlighted his commitment to empowering the youth with meaningful opportunities that foster both professional growth and nation-building.
“I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the citizens on Dhanteras. In just two days, we will also celebrate Diwali, and this year’s Diwali is particularly special. After 500 years, Lord Ram is seated in his grand temple in Ayodhya, and this will be the first Diwali celebrated with him in his magnificent temple,” PM Modi said through a video conference.
“We are all very fortunate to witness such a special and grand Diwali. Today, on this auspicious day, we are distributing appointment letters to 51,000 youths during the Rozgar Mela. I congratulate you all,” PM added.
The Rozgar Mela, set to be organized at 40 locations nationwide, will see thousands of new recruits joining various ministries and departments, including the department of revenue, ministry of home affairs, ministry of defence, ministry of health and family welfare, and department of higher education, among others. This large-scale recruitment effort highlights the government’s continued focus on creating job opportunities that can help shape India’s future.
A key feature of the Rozgar Mela is the provision of foundational training for the new recruits through the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ module, an online course available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. With over 1,400 e-learning courses, this platform will equip recruits with essential skills, enabling them to effectively serve in their roles and work towards building a “Viksit Bharat” or developed India.
