Google CEO Sundar Pichai extended warm Diwali greetings, sharing a festive image featuring a traditional lantern adorned with the Google logo against a backdrop of vibrant Diwali decorations.

The CEO also shared his personal connection to the festival, noting that “Diwali is one of my favourite times of the year” and expressing how it’s “always fun to fill the house with light.”
The image shared by Pichai showcases a beautifully crafted paper lantern in red and gold colours, featuring the iconic Google ‘G’ logo surrounded by intricate mandala patterns and illuminated from within to create a warm glow. The cylindrical lantern features a red top and streamers in orange and yellow hues cascading down like a graceful chandelier, reminiscent of a rocket.
The background displays traditional marigold garlands in vibrant orange and red, while string lights create a bokeh effect, adding to the festive ambiance. Several tea lights can be seen burning in the foreground, embodying the spirit of Diwali’s lighting traditions.
Sharing the same picture on X (formerly Twitter), Pichai wished his followers on the platform a Happy Diwali, writing “Wishing everyone a bright and joyful Diwali filled with warmth and light!”
Google’s India handle on X also shared the same picture as Pichai, greeting everyone on Diwali. “Getting all set for Diwa-lit celebrations, starting with this. Wishing you a very happy and bright Diwali,” wrote Google India.
On Instagram, Google India wished in a different style, writing, “ All set for Diwali?’ Haan G Haan G. Wishing everyone a safe, bright and Happy Diwali,” while sharing the same picture of lantern adorned with the iconic Google ‘G’ logo.
