NEW DELHI: At least five devotees were injured on Thursday evening during a festival at the Deviramma hill temple in Mallenahalli in Karnataka‘s Chikkamagaluru district.
The devotees sustained injuries as they slipped and fell on the hills. This was attributed to rainfall in the area for the past two days.
The temple of Bindiga Deviramma in Mallenahalli, situated on the hilltop, welcomes visitors only once annually during Deepavali. Devotees reach the temple by traversing through Manikyadhara and Arisinaguppe of Bababudangiri.
More details are awaited.
