While the Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the strongest teams in this season of the National Football League, there are now conversations around a rift between their two star players – the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, their star quarterback. Travis recently admitted that he has not been able to connect well with Patrick. He said, “I’m just not on the same page as Pat. It can get frustrating. It can get f–king frustrating, that’s for damn sure.”
Travis Kelce Thinks He Has Been Performing Poorly and Discusses His Disconnect With Patrick Mahomes

Recently, Travis appeared on the podcast he hosts with his older brother and former NFL star of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce and admitted his frustration about the whole matter with Patrick. While admitting the growing rift with his teammate, he also admitted about his performance that has not been as good as his previous years’ performances. In the last couple of seasons of the NFL, Travis had performed better and scored 5 touchdowns at this point in the seasons. This year, his performance plummeted to a mere 2 touchdowns. On the podcast, he admitted, “Right now, for whatever reason this year, I just can’t find my way in the end zone,” and then went on to talk about the coordination and connect he had with Patrick is entirely missing at the moment.
Fans have continued to support Kelce through all the high and low periods of his career. A fan commented, “Travis, as a Chiefs fan, I have watched you have tons of success and a hundred receptions on the improvised route plays. Do not lose sleep over the couple times it doesn’t work out because there are hundreds of times where it does. That’s part of the deal when you have one of the best and most creative players in NFL history.”
This, however is not a shocking confession. Rumours about the rift has been floating for few days now. But Kelce’s recent admission of it has worried fans even though the Kansas City Chiefs has entered into the NFL Playoffs after beating the Las Vegas Raiders. Many worry whether this will have an effect on playing for the Championship since it was the connect between Travis and Patrick is what kept the team going.

Travis Kelce Will Always Defend Patrick Mahomes Even If They Cannot Connect At The Moment
Travis still considers Patrick to be a close friend. Few weeks ago, on the same podcast, Jason had blamed Patrick as Jason believed Patrick had used his role to gain more yards. Travis was quick to defend his teammate and friend and quickly shut down his older brother by saying,
“Get outta here, I’m not trying to hear this man. He’s not gonna try and trick a guy with going out of bounds and then do it. I just don’t see Pat doing it.”
It becomes more interesting for fans to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the upcoming matches, knowing how Kelce has been feeling about his performance and the team.
