When Jasprit Bumrah got Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Elon Musk talking cricket – Times of India

Elon Musk seems to be cosying up to one of India’s favourite sports — Cricket. The world’s richest man and Tesla CEO responded to Google CEO Sundar Pichai‘s post on Cricket. A known ardent fan of cricket, Pichai shared a post on Day 4 of the ongoing test series between India and Australia in Brisbane. “I did Google it:) anyone who can hook Cummins for a six knows how to bat! Well done
@Jaspritbumrah93 saving the follow on with Deep!,” wrote Google CEO. To this, Elon Musk replied “Nice”.

Pichai then invited Musk to watch a South Africa-India match. “Gotta watch a sa-ind game one day at newlands or wanderers:),” he wrote, with a smiley at the end of the post.

Pichai was responding to a post from Twitter user Deepak Kumar that said, “name a better comeback than ‘google it’”. The post shared a post match conference featuring India’s superstar bowler Jasprit Bumrah. When asked about his batting ability, Bumrah cheekily replies “Interesting question.” And then goes on to add: “I think you should use Google and see who’s got the most runs in an over in a test match.” He did add “Jokes apart” in the end.

Google too joins the Jassi Bhai Fandom

Earlier in the day, Google too shared an appreciation post for Bumrah. One of the key highlights of the Day 4 of the test match was the 39-run stand between Bumrah and Akash Deep. Little doubt, Indian cricket fans couldn’t thank Bumrah enough for crucial runs he scored after he took six for 76 in Australia’s first innings.
Joining the ‘gratitude’ Google India too shared an appreciation post for Bumrah, lovingly called Jassi Bhai.
“I only believe in Jassi Bhai 💪,” read the post from Google India.

As to how the name ‘Jassi Bhai’ went viral for Bumrah, can’t be really said. However, one of the most memorable mentions of it is from India’s star bowler Mohammad Siraj. After India’s T20 World Cup win in South Africa, Mohammad Siraj with tears in his eyes said: “I knew only Jassi bhai could do it for India, and he did it for us”.
