Blame it on the star power, the stellar performances, the direction, BGM, or anything else, but ‘Pushpa 2’ isn’t losing its grip at the box office. Headlined by some of the biggest names in the industry – Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahad Faasil, the movie completed three weeks at the box office. It minted close to Rs.100 crores gross and topped the Rs 1500 crore gross mark worldwide in the third weekend, according to Sacnilk’s latest report.

‘Pushpa 2’ and its box office numbers were making noise right from the word go. The film’s opening day collection in India was Rs 164.25 crores, which was massive! Then within a week, the movie was made a collection of Rs 725.8 cores, and week two brought it closer to the Rs.100 crore mark. By the end of the third weekend, the movie had around Rs 1267 crores in gross collection at the Indian box office and had taken the worldwide collection to approximately Rs 1506 crores gross.

‘Pushpa 2’ currently stands as the second biggest grosser in India, the first as of now is ‘Baahubali 2’ with 1416 crores. However, if we talk about net collection, Allu Arjun’s mass entertainer has the crown.
Pushpa 2: Stampede controversy
The craze of ‘Pushpa 2’ took an ugly turn when a woman lost her life in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere. Latest reports state that Allu Arjun has been summoned to Chikkadpally police station over the case.
The actor’s Hyderabad house was vandalized on Sunday. Accuseser identified themselves as the OU JAC (Joint Action Committee of Osmania University students). His father, Allu Aravind, addressed the press and said: “Everyone has seen what happened at our house today. But it is time for us to act accordingly. Now is not the right time for us to react to anything. The law will take its own course.” A Hyderabad court on Monday granted bail to six individuals.
Further, on Monday, Pushap 2’s producer, Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers, donated a sum of ₹50 lakh to the victim’s family.
