NEW DELHI: Simran Singh, a social media influencer and a radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir died by suicide in Gurugram, the police informed on Thursday.
Her body was discovered hanging in her room on Wednesday night. No suicide note was found at the scene, authorities said.
The family said that Simran had been dealing with difficulties for a while, which led her to take this step, investigating officer ASI Pradeep Kumar of Sadar Police Station, Gurugram informed.
Following a written complaint from the family, action was taken, and the post-mortem was conducted on Thursday morning. The body has been returned to the family, and no case has been filed, he said.

“Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah extended their heartfelt condolences to Simran’s family, friends, and countless fans during this difficult time. They prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to her loved ones to bear this unimaginable loss,” it added.
Simran had over six lakh followers on Instagram.
