‘Will ask INDIA bloc parties to remove Congress from alliance,’ says AAP | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: AAP on Thursday launched a scathing attack on its INDIA bloc partner Congress, accusing it of working with the BJP for the upcoming Delhi polls. Addressing a press conference, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said, “Congress doing everything to help BJP win Delhi polls.”
The AAP also announced that it would ask other INDIA bloc parties to remove Congress from alliance if no action is taken against Congress leader’s Ajay Maken recent statement against the AAP.
Accusing Ajay Maken of playing by BJP’s script, Sanjay Singh said ,”Congress leader Maken called Arvind Kejriwal ‘anti-national’, party must take action against him in 24 hours.”
This sharp rebuttal follows Ajay Maken’s statement on Wednesday that the Congress party’s decision to support AAP in forming the government in 2013 was one of the biggest ‘strategic blunders’ behind Congress’s fallout in Delhi. The AAP is also miffed with the grand old after its youth wing filed a complaint against Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of “misleading and deceiving” the public with promises of “non-existent” welfare schemes.
“Congress’s list of candidates for Delhi polls appears to be prepared by BJP; aimed at harming AAP, Sanjay Singh added.
Further, chief minster Atishi added to the charge, accusing the Congress party of receiving campaign funding from the BJP.
“Congress’ actions have made it evident that it has joined hands with BJP for the Delhi elections. Yesterday, senior Congress leader Ajay Maken said that Kejriwal is anti-national. Did they raise any such voice against any BJP leader? No, but they are doing that with AAP,” CM Atishi said.

“Yesterday, the (Youth) Congress party filed an FIR against Arvind Kejriwal and me. Third thing, we have come to know from official sources that the BJP is funding Congress candidates including Sandeep Dixit… We demand answers, otherwise, we will hold talks with INDIA alliance partners that we cannot stay with Congress party in an alliance anymore,” she added.
