In its fourth week, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to leave its mark on the box office. The action-packed sequel, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, which has captivated audiences with its gripping narrative and powerful performances, experienced a significant drop in collections on Monday.
Pushpa 2: The Rule Movie Review
The film’s momentum at the box office seemed to slow down as the weekday slump took a toll on its collections for Day 26, recording its lowest numbers to date. According to early estimates on Sacnilk, the film saw its collections dip to a new low of Rs 6.65 crore.
Meanwhile, the film’s total collection for all languages is estimated at Rs 1163.65 crore net. The production house announced in an official tweet that Pushpa 2 has crossed the Rs 1760 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office, setting it up to beat Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.
Despite Monday’s drop, Pushpa 2 remains a major draw for cine-goers. The film continues to outperform other films despite being in its fourth week. It has successfully edged out Baby John and Mufasa, two strong contenders that are still in their first and second weeks of release respectively. The latter two films have struggled to match the sheer fan following and pan-India appeal of Allu Arjun’s magnum opus, which helped it push past the Rs 1500 crore mark.
With the upcoming New Year‘s break, it remains to be seen if the numbers will rise to give the film one final boost before it faces more competition at the box office with newer film releases.
