AAP vs BJP: Poster war heats up with ‘gaalibaaz CM’ and ‘sheeshmahal’ jibes | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are engaged in an escalating poster war as the Delhi assembly elections draw near.
AAP initiated a fresh attack on Saturday, targeting BJP’s Kalkaji candidate, Ramesh Bidhuri, with a poster portraying him as the antagonist from Bahubali 1.
The post on X included the text: “BJP ka Gaalibaaz CM chehra” and “Face of the Abusive CM of the Abusive Party #WhoIsDelhiCM.” (GaaliBaaz party ka GaaliBaaz CM chehra)

BJP retaliated promptly with their own poster, targeting AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, labelling him as “Sheeshmahal wale AAP-Da-e-Aazam.”
Their poster read: “The people of Delhi have decided, AAP-Da-e-Azam of the Sheeshmahal has to be chased away.” (Delhi ki janta ne thaana hai, sheeshmahal wale AAP-da-e-aazam ko bhagana hai)

Earlier, AAP on Friday had released a poster, accusing BJP leaders of derogatory remarks and labeling the party as the “Gaali Galoch Party.”
AAP took aim at BJP leaders including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Ramesh Bidhuri, highlighting controversial comments made by them. The poster titled “BJP ke Gaalibaz Daanavon Se Delhi Rahe Satark,” featured BJP leaders including Amit Shah, Manoj Tiwari, and Ramesh Bidhuri and other leaders.

BJP responded with a poster accusing Kejriwal of disrespecting the Purvanchal community, with the caption, “Purvanchal Samaj ka Apmaan, Sheeshmahal ke Nawab Kejriwal ki Pehchaan!”

The Delhi Assembly elections will take place on February 5, with the vote counting scheduled for February 8. The last date for filing nominations is January 17, followed by nomination scrutiny on January 18 and the deadline for candidature withdrawal on January 20.
