NEW DELHI: Vaishnavi Sharma scripted history when she became the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in U19 Women World Cup.
Vaishnavi achieved the feat in the clash against Malaysia at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

India won the toss and put Malaysia into bat and the hosts were already reeling at 30/6 when Vaishnavi came in to bowl her fourth over having already taken 2 wickets.
Vaishnavi first trapped Nur Ain Binti Roslan (3) plumb in front of the wicket on the second ball of her fourth over.
On the next delivery, Vaishnavi then had Nur Isma Dania also dismissed LBW and on the next delivery clean bowled Siti Nazwah to become the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in U19 Women World Cup.
Vaishnavi finished her incredible spell at 4-1-5-5 as India bundled out Malaysia just 31 runs in 14.3 overs.
Indian openers Gongadi Trisha and G Kamalini took just 2.5 overs to chase down the 32-run target as India registered an emphatic victory by 10 wickets to take the top spot in Group A.
Vaishnavi Sharma was adjudged the Player of the Match for her magnificent performance.
