Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on Elon Musk’s ‘no money claims’: All I know is, I am … – The Times of India

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella casually responded to Elon Musk‘s concerns about the Stargate AI infrastructure project’s financing, offering a dismissive response in a recent CNBC interview. When questioned about Musk‘s funding allegations, Nadella simply remarked, “All I know is, I’m good for my $80 Billion,” effectively sidestepping detailed scrutiny.

Musk, CEO of Tesla and a Trump administration ally, had publicly challenged the project’s financial foundation, claiming that SoftBank has secured “well under $10 billion.” The Stargate project, a collaborative venture involving OpenAI, Oracle, Microsoft, and SoftBank, aims to establish a significant AI infrastructure in the United States.
The dispute took a personal turn when OpenAI CEO Sam Altman responded to Musk’s criticisms, urging him to consider national interests over personal grievances. Their exchange highlighted the ongoing tension between the two tech leaders, who previously co-founded OpenAI before a notable falling-out.
Nadella says he is “not in the details” of investments in The Stargate Project. He confirmed only Microsoft’s commitment of $80 billion annually to expand Azure’s AI capabilities, without addressing Musk’s specific allegations.
The $500 billion project, backed by the US President Trump, promises to generate hundreds of thousands of jobs and represents a major technological initiative. Initial partners include Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI.
