The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its Test Team of the Year 2024 on Friday, featuring three Indian player — premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and emerging opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Australia’s Test skipper and fast bowler Pat Cummins was named as the captain of the squad, being the sole representative from his country in the lineup.
The squad included four players from England and two from New Zealand, with the accomplished Kane Williamson amongst them.

Bumrah was the ‘Player of the Series’ for his 32 wickets in the five-Test Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) on their tour of Australia recently. Jaiswal ended up as the top-scorer for India with 391 runs, including one century and two fifties.
All-rounder Jadeja, meanwhile, had contributed 135 runs and took four wickets in the BGT.
