MUMBAI: Sixty-two-year-old Dinesh Nandwana, the chairman emeritus of Vakrangee technology firm, died on Friday while ED was conducting a search at his residence in Andheri (East), reports VijayV Singh. The police said the cause of the death will be known only after the postmortem examination. Sources stated that during the search process, he suffered an attack which led to his death.
The MIDC police has registered an accidental death report. A senior police officer said the family has not made any complaint of ill treatment.
ED’s Jalandhar unit was conducting raids at several locations, including his residence, when he developed health complications. During the search ED generally records statements of those concerned found on the premises and restrict their movement/communication during the proceeding.
