KP Chowdary, also known as Sunkara Krishna Prasad Chowdary, a prominent figure in the South Indian film industry, was found dead in Goa under tragic circumstances. Authorities confirmed that the cause of death was suicide, according to 123 Telugu. KP Chowdary, originally from the Khammam district, had made a significant mark as a producer and distributor of several successful films. He was notably one of the producers of Rajinikanth’s blockbuster Kabali. In addition to his role in Tamil cinema, he played a key part in distributing several hit Telugu films, including ‘Gabbar Singh,’ ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu,’ and ‘Arjun Suravaram.’. These ventures brought him recognition and connections with numerous industry celebrities.
Despite his initial success, KP Chowdary faced severe setbacks following his arrest by the Cyberabad Police in 2023 for alleged involvement in a drug-related case. Seeking a fresh start, Chowdary relocated to Goa, where he attempted to establish a club. Unfortunately, the venture did not achieve the success he had hoped for, adding to his struggles.
