PM Modi’s US visit: Where is he staying? Everything you need to know about Blair House – The Times of India


Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to US, arrived at Blair House on Thursday and greeted members of Indian diaspora, gathered there to welcome him. He will be staying at the Blair House – a luxurious and historic guest lodging for the dignitaries visiting the White House.
He received a “warm” welcome amid “winter chill” at Blair House, where, people chanted “”Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and Modi Modi”.
Taking to X, PM Modi shared photos of him greeting the members of Indian diaspora. He was seen waving back at people.

‘World’s most exclusive hotel’
Situated at 1651 Pennsylvania Avenue, directly opposite the White House, this distinguished residence serves as the premier accommodation for visiting dignitaries. Blair House has welcomed numerous presidents, royal family members and world leaders, leading to its recognition as a highly exclusive diplomatic residence.
Beyond its role as a prestigious guest accommodation, Blair House stands as a representation of American diplomatic relations and hospitality. The establishment spans an impressive 70,000 square feet, functioning as an extension of the White House facilities.
The property comprises four connected townhouses, featuring 119 rooms. These include 14 guest bedrooms, 35 bathrooms, three formal dining spaces and a complete beauty salon, offering visitors premium accommodation. The interior showcases American heritage through its collection of period furniture, artistic works and historical items.
In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day diplomatic visit to Washington, Blair House has been adorned with the Indian flag. PM Modi’s visit comes following an invitation from US President Donald Trump.
