Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, received the distinguished governor’s citation from Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, in recognition of her visionary leadership and exceptional contributions to society.
A social media announcement on X by Reliance Foundation highlighted the citation’s recognition of Nita Ambani’s significant influence across various sectors including education, healthcare, sports, arts, culture, and women’s empowerment, touching countless lives in India and worldwide.
“Our Founder Chairperson Nita Ambani was conferred with the prestigious Governor’s Citation by the Hon’ble Maura Healey, Governor of Massachusetts, recognising her as a visionary leader, compassionate philanthropist, and true global changemaker,” Reliance Foundation added in the post.
At this significant ceremony, Nita Ambani adorned herself in an exquisite handwoven Shikargah Banarasi saree to commemorate the honour.
The saree, exemplifying Indian artisanal excellence, featured the sophisticated Kadwa weaving technique and traditional Konya pattern, demonstrating her dedication to showcasing India’s artistic heritage internationally.
