The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 by three days, till February 21, 2025, at 6 PM. This marks the second extension, as the deadline was previously pushed to February 18.
According to the official notice on the UPSC website, the application deadline for both the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2025 has been extended.
Additionally, UPSC has announced that a correction window will be available from February 22 to February 28, 2025, allowing candidates to make necessary modifications to their application forms.
Initially, the last date to apply for the exam was set for February 11, 2025, at 6 PM. Interested candidates must complete their registration online via upsconline.gov.in.

Step 3: Register yourself – Enter details such as name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Verify the information before proceeding.
Step 4: Log in – Use the credentials created during registration to access the application form.
Step 5: Fill out the form – Enter educational qualifications, personal details, and exam preferences. Review before submission.
Step 6: Pay the application fee – Complete payment through debit/credit card or net banking. The fee varies by category.
Step 7: Submit the application – After payment, click the ‘Submit’ button. A confirmation page with a downloadable PDF copy will appear.
