The incident occurred just before a football match, causing misfired crackers to spread into the spectator area.

NEW DELHI: Around 40 people were injured when crackers, set off by organizers of a Sevens football match in the middle of the ground, fell among the spectators and exploded at 8.30pm on Tuesday.
The incident happened during a fireworks demonstration at Therattammal near Areekode in Malappuram before the final match between United FC Nellikuthu and KNG Mavoor.
Most of the injured are children and the condition of two spectators is said to be serious. The injured were taken to two private hospitals in Areekode.
Thousands of people had gathered to witness the tournament.
Football tournament committee said it will bear the treatment cost of the injured.
