Microsoft recently unveiled Majorana 1, the world’s first Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) powered by a Topological Core. The chip, the company said, is designed to scale to a million qubits on a single chip. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella shared a post on microblogging site X stating “a couple reflections on the quantum computing breakthrough”. In the post, Nadella said: “we’ve created an entirely new state of matter, unlocked by a new class of materials, topoconductors, that enable a fundamental leap in computing.”
X owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to Nadella’s post. Quoting the post, Musk said “More and more breakthroughs with quantum computing …”
