Missing 17-year-old girl’s body parts found in Unnao, trigger unrest – The Times of India

KANPUR: The recovery of a missing student’s severed arm, her hair, and belongings in the forest after ten days since she went missing created unrest in Unnao district on Thursday.
Police officials are combing the forest while a forensic unit has gathered evidence from the location. The class 12 student’s school items, including her uniform and identification card, were discovered in the forest, situated seven kilometres from her village.
Senior police officials, including the SP, CO, and SO, along with forensic experts and canine units, arrived at the spot to collect evidence. The 17-year-old student, whose father is a home guard, had left her home on Feb 10 for her biology practical examination on her bicycle but never returned.
Her father, who has been posted at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh since December, registered a missing person’s complaint on Feb 12. On Feb 15, the case was modified to include kidnapping charges against an unidentified person.
