Pandya, along with core players Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma vowed to uphold the franchise’s proud legacy.
“Dear Paltan, 2025 is our opportunity to bring the legacy where it belongs. With the blue & gold on us, we will take the field to play like Mumbai. This is not just our jersey. This is a promise to you. Chala bhetu, Wankhede la (Let’s meet at Wankhede)!” Pandya said in an emotional address.

The new jersey retains the iconic blue and gold colours that define Mumbai Indians. Blue represents trust, confidence, and the team’s immense potential, while gold signifies glory, achievement and the relentless pursuit of excellence. More than just a uniform, the jersey symbolises MI’s fearless brand of cricket.

The five-time IPL champions will kick off their campaign against Chennai Super Kings on March 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It will be a high-stakes opener, as CSK are also five-time winners.
Mumbai Indians endured a disappointing 2024 season, finishing at the bottom of the table with just four wins in 14 matches. Determined to bounce back, the team will be eager to reclaim their dominance and make a strong statement in IPL 2025.
