Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested three members of the Bhau Gang after an encounter in Rohini. One gang member was shot in the leg during the exchange.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested three members of the Bhau Gang following an encounter in the Rohini area in Delhi, news agency ANI reported on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team intercepted the miscreants near Begumpur in Rohini, but they opened fire when asked to stop. In retaliatory firing, one of them was shot in the leg, police said.
The arrested individuals are being interrogated.

All about Bhau Gang

The Bhau Gang, led by notorious gangster Himanshu Bhau, is involved in multiple extortion and criminal activities in Delhi.
Active since 2020, the gang is known for leaving its signature “Bhau Gang Since 2020” at crime scenes.
It primarily targets business owners, demanding large sums in exchange for protection, often using violent means to intimidate victims.
Himanshu Bhau fled India after an Interpol Red Corner notice was issued against him and is suspected to have traveled to the US via Portugal.
The gang gained notoriety after a shooting at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden and has been linked to previous extortion-related attacks, including a car showroom in Tilak Nagar and a property dealer’s residence in Kabir Nagar.
Delhi Police, along with the Crime Branch and Special Cell, are actively investigating the gang’s activities and tracking its members.
