Jimmy Butler’s integration into the Golden State Warriors’ system has been nothing short of spectacular. In his first six games with the team, he has already written his name into franchise history in golden words. As the Warriors’ official X handle revealed: “Jimmy Butler III is the first Warrior in franchise history to have 120+ Points, 30+ Rebounds and 30+ Assists through a player’s first six games with the team.”

Across these six games, he’s averaged 20.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals while shooting 46.7% from the field. Remarkably, he’s been able to put up these numbers despite struggling from beyond the arc, shooting only 10% from three. His efficiency at the free-throw line— where he’s hitting 89.1% on 9.2 attempts per game— has been a major factor in his success.
Head coach Steve Kerr praised Butler’s growing impact on the team, “The game feels easier right now for us. Every play is not as crucial when there’s a consistency in the game. You can make a mistake and keep playing and not feel like, ‘Oh, my god, we’ve got to flip things right now.’ I just think the consistency of what we’re seeing defensively is setting the tone.”
Golden State’s decision to bring in Butler from the Miami Heat proved to be a huge success. Warriors’ star player Stephen Curry also hailed the management’s decision to acquire the former Heat star.
“There’s a sense of urgency just because you’re not going to be able to do it at this level forever. We talked about that pre-trade, which is why Jimmy is here, and we all love the expectations, we love playing for something meaningful, and the only energy you’re putting out there is to try and get it done. That’s it. We’re in a moment where we still can win.”

Regardless, he recently extended his good wishes to his former team and shared that he is in the Bay Area to claim more records and win championships.
