Elon Musk recently responded to US Senator Mike Lee’s post asking “Do you ever want Bill Gates to shut up?”. Sharing a video of Bill Gates where the Microsoft founder can be seen saying “6% of global emissions are cows… You can either fix the cows to stop them doing that, or you can make beef without the cow.” Replying to the post, the Tesla CEO said “Yes”.
According to a 2023 BBC report, the tech billionaire has invested in an Australia based start-up with an aim to reduce methane emission of cow burps. Bill Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy Ventures led the funding, with participation from Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s agri-food company, Harvest Road Group.
Commenting on the post, one user wrote “Shutting up is only the beginning.” A second user replied “After the Epstein Client List is released, he may very well shut up on his own”.
“I don’t think he’s a bad person. He has his priorities mixed up though,” said a third. “When he can just listen to your talk and admire Tesla and Space X,” said another. A third user commented.
Elon Musk’s warning against woke mind virus in AI
In another news, the Tesla CEO warned that the biggest danger to humanity is artificial intelligence (AI) being influenced by the “woke mind virus.” In a post on X, the tech billionaire said that “the more I learn, the more insidious and deadly it appears.” Explaining further, Musk wrote “Even for Grok, it’s tough to remove, because there is so much woke content on the internet.”
The term “woke mind virus” is often used by critics of wokeness, which refers to being aware of issues like racism, sexism, and social injustice. Some critics believe this ideology has become extreme and harmful.
In the post, Musk also gave an example, saying that when other AI models were asked whether global thermonuclear war or misgendering was worse, they chose misgendering. He warned, “The existential problem with that extrapolation is that a super-powerful AI could decide that the only 100% certain way to stop misgendering is to kill all humans.”
