March 2025 Bank Holidays: Bank customers should be aware beforehand about multiple bank holidays occurring in March 2025. Banks in various cities will observe closures on specific dates as per the Negotiable Instruments Act and regional festivities. Banks will also not operate on the second and fourth Saturdays.

The following dates mark bank closures in March 2025:
- March 7 (Friday): Chapchar Kut
- March 13 (Thursday): Holika Dahan, Attukal Pongala
- March 14 (Friday): Holi (Second Day) – Dhuleti, Dhulandi, Dol Jatra
- March 15 (Saturday): Holi, Yaosang 2nd Day
- March 22 (Saturday): Bihar Diwas
- March 27 (Thursday): Shab-I-Qadr
- March 28 (Friday): Jumat-ul-Vida
- March 31 (Monday): Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (Shawal-1), Khutub-E-Ramzan
March 2025 Bank Holidays: State-wise list
- March 7 (Friday): Banking operations will be suspended in Mizoram.
- March 13 (Thursday): Banking establishments will not function in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand due to Holika Dahan. In Kerala, banks will be shut for Attukal Pongala festival.
- March 14 (Friday): Banks shall not operate in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, New Delhi, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.
- March 15 (Saturday): Banking services will be unavailable in Tripura, Odisha, Manipur, and Bihar.
- March 22 (Saturday): Being the fourth Saturday, banks across all states will remain closed.
- March 27 (Thursday): Due to Shab-I-Qadr, banks in Jammu and Srinagar will not function.
- March 28 (Friday): Banking operations will cease in Jammu and Srinagar for Jumat-ul-Vida.
- March 31 (Monday): Despite Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) being a holiday in most states except Himachal Pradesh and Mizoram, the Reserve Bank of India has directed all agency banks and those handling government transactions to remain operational on March 31, 2025 (Monday).
Whilst banks are closed on these dates, customers will have continuous access to ATMs, mobile banking and internet banking facilities. It is advisable to plan financial transactions beforehand to avoid any inconvenience.
