Like a true king, Vicky Kaushal and his latest release ‘Chhaava’ are ruling the box office. The movie has had a 16-day run at the box office; the film has been able to outshine several box office giants. As it entered the third week on Friday, it showed steady numbers, but as soon as the weekend came, the magic happened and the movie saw a rise in the collection. According to the Sacnilk report, ‘Chhaava’ collected Rs.21 crore on its day 16, i.e. 3rd Saturday, and this takes the India net collection to Rs. 433.50 crore. These are still early estimates, and the trend assures a further rise on Sunday as well.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie also has Akshaye Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Viineet Kumar Singh and more in pivotal roles. The film’s gripping storyline that highlights the valor of Chhatarpati Sambhaji Maharaj and stellar performances, helped it make a business of Rs. 219.25 in just its debut week. However, just like other films, ‘Chhaava’ also saw a dip in the collection on the weekdays, but weekends and public holidays have favoured the collection of the movie. In the second week, the movie minted Rs. 180.25 crore. As the third week started, the movie came close to Rs.50 crore in just two days.
On Saturday, the movie saw an overall footfall of 28.86 percent, compared to the 17.56 percent occupancy rate on Friday. The morning shows recorded 17.33 percent occupancy, and the afternoon shows saw 29.92 percent footfall. Further, the occupancy was 31.03 percent and 37.17 percent, respectively, during the evening and night shows.
