Kalpana, born into a family of musicians on May 8, 1980, inherited her musical talent from her father, who was a renowned playback singer, composer, and actor. Her mother, Sulochana, is also a singer, while her sister, Shekinah Shawn, is an opera singer.
The viral clip shows the audience clapping enthusiastically as Kalpana sings alongside T.S. Raghavendar. Fans have flooded the comments with praise, reminiscing about the musical legacy of the father-daughter pair.

On a separate note, Kalpana Raghavendar was recently hospitalized after taking an accidental overdose of sleeping pills. She denied any suicide attempt and clarified, “I accidentally overdosed on insomnia tablets due to stress caused by differences with my daughter over her education.” According to reports, Kalpana argued with her daughter, Daya Prasad, regarding her education, which led to emotional distress. Currently, she is under medical care and recovering.
