In a bid to expand its retail footprint in the country, Malabar Gold & Diamonds has invested Rs 600 crore to add 12 new showrooms by the end of this month. This will take the total showroom count to 391 showrooms across 13 countries and a presence in 19 states across India.
The new showrooms will be located at Panvel in Mumbai, Sinhagad Road in Pune, Brahmapur and Soubhagya Nagar in Odisha; Dhanbad in Jharkhand, Hospet, Nagarbhavi and Chitradurga in Karnataka; Nandyal, Amalapuram, Machilipatanam in Andhra Pradesh, Varanasi in UP. The new showrooms will create employment for more than 400 people in FY25. The company’s total number of new showrooms will stand at 42 in FY25 after these new facilities are launched.
The jeweller plans to open 60 new showrooms in calendar year 2025, further expanding its global presence. In April 2025, the company will come up with five new showrooms in the Middle East, the UK, and Canada.
