Amazon, Tesla and X other US companies that bagged maximum H-1B visas in 2024 – The Times of India


Amazon, Tesla, and several other US-based companies have emerged as the largest beneficiaries of the H-1B visa program in 2025, according to data from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). These companies collectively secured thousands of visas, underscoring their reliance on skilled foreign workers to drive innovation and growth.
Amazon topped the list with 9,265 H-1B visa approvals, maintaining its position as the largest employer of H-1B workers. Tesla also featured prominently, alongside other tech giants like Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Apple. These companies leverage the H-1B program to fill specialised roles in engineering, research, and development.

Here are the top 10 US companies that have sponsored the most H-1B visas as per USCIS

  • Amazon Com Services LLC: 9,265 approvals
  • Cognizant Technology Solutions: 6,321 approvals
  • Google LLC: 5,364 approvals
  • Meta Platforms Inc: 4,844 approvals
  • Microsoft Corporation: 4,725 approvals
  • Apple Inc: 3,873 approvals
  • HCL America Inc: 2,953 approvals
  • IBM Corporation: 2,906 approvals
  • Walmart Associates: 2,904 approvals
  • Capegemini America: 2,795 approvals

The Indian IT companies among top beneficiaries of H-1B Visas in 2024

Infosys led the Indian companies with 8,140 H-1B visa approvals, followed by TCS with 5,274 approvals. Other major Indian-origin firms included HCL America, which received 2,953 visas, Wipro with 1,634 visas, and Tech Mahindra with 1,199 visas. These companies leverage the H-1B program to hire professionals for specialized roles in technology, research, and development.
