David Warner hits out at Air India: ‘No pilots, waiting for hours’ | Off the field News – The Times of India

Australian cricket star David Warner experienced a unusual flight delay with Air India in New Delhi on Saturday. Warner and other passengers were made to board an aircraft that had no pilots, leading to hours of waiting time.
“We’ve boarded a plane with no pilots and waiting on the plane for hours. Why would you board passengers knowing that you have no pilots for the flight?” Warner expressed his frustration on social media platform X.

Air India addressed the situation through their social media response.
“The crew operating your flight was held up on an earlier assignment affected by these disruptions, which led to a delay in departure. We appreciate your patience and thank you for choosing to fly with us,” Air India explained on X.

The airline clarified that severe weather conditions in Bengaluru had caused widespread disruptions and delays across all airlines operating in the region.
Warner had gone unsold in the IPL mega auction and registered for the Pakistan Super League Season 10 draft as a result.
The Aussie had been involved in the ongoing IPL since 2009 featuring for either Delhi Capitals or Sunrisers Hyderabad. He steered the Sunrisers to their first and only IPL title in 2016. His last IPL appearance came for DC last season. In IPL 2024 he played eight matches and scored 168 runs.
