Parents to two children—Vamika and Akaay—their love story began with a long courtship before they eventually tied the knot. While fans speculated about their relationship status, Virat revealed that even Anushka was unaware they were officially dating at one point in their hush-hush romance. In a light-hearted confession, the cricketer shared that while he had already decided they were a couple, Anushka seemed to have no idea.
Recalling their text conversation he shared the amusing moment, saying, “One day I sent her a message and said, ‘You know, when I used to be single, I would do this and that.’ And she replied, ‘What do you mean by used to be?'”
He went on to admit, “I had already decided in my mind and heart that we are dating.”
The two stars first met in 2013 while shooting for a shampoo commercial. Over time, their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship, culminating in a fairytale wedding in Italy in December 2017. They welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in 2021 and announced the arrival of son Akaay in February 2024.
On the work front, Anushka is awaiting the release of her film ‘Chakda Xpress’. The movie was back in the headlines after Dibyendu Bhattacharya, revealed that the movie was “very well-made” and praised Anushka’s performance as ‘one of her best’ to date. He raised eyebrows when he revealed that although the film is complete, there is no update about its release.
