‘Diplomat’ box office collection day 11: The John Abraham starrer sees major drop on second Monday, crosses Rs 26 crore | Hindi Movie News – The Times of India


John Abraham‘s film ‘Diplomat’ is now in its second week. The film is based on a true event and is a story of an Indian girl who gets rescued from Pakistan with the help of a Government official. John plays the role of diplomat JP Singh in the movie and has been getting a lot of love for it. The movie had an opening of Rs 4 crore on its opening day but has continued to remain steady due to positive word of mouth. Infact, it saw a good growth on the second weekend and made more than Rs 5 crore as a total on second Saturday and Sunday.
Drop on second Monday
According to Sacnilk, by the end of week 1, the movie had collected Rs 19.15 crore. But it saw a good growth over the second Saturday and Sunday. While it made Rs 2.5 crore on Saturday, the collection on Sunday was Rs 2.75 crore. However, there was a huge drop on second Monday and the movie made only Rs 90 lakhs. ‘Chhhaava’ still has an edge over it
While Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Chhaava’ is in its 6th week, the film still has an edge over ‘Diplomat’ and is doing better. The movie made approximately Rs 8 crore as a total in its sixth Saturday and Sunday. Even on Monday, the number was better than ‘Diplomat’. The film minted Rs 1.75 crore on its 6th Monday. Thus, the total domestic collection of ‘Chhaava’ now stands at Rs 585 crore.
