Television actors Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai have announced their decision to separate after nine years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot on December 16, 2016, revealed that they have been living apart for over a year and have mutually decided to part ways. The actor had shared the news with a statement on his Instagram handle, which he has now deleted.
Ravish now took to his Instagram handle, sharing a video slamming the trolls to adding their own theories regarding Mugdha and his separation. In the video, Ravish said, “Guys, come on, is it necessary that a third person has to be involved in every separation? Two people mutually decided to come together and mutually decided to part ways. Why can’t that be as simple? Whatever the reason may be, let that rest in our hearts. Please give us some privacy here. Why point a finger at a woman’s dignity for what? What are you going to achieve out of that?”
He further added, “Look guys, we are simple people, okay. I have no intent or temperament to fight anybody on social media. It takes us an entire life to build our character, both of us. Please, it’s a request; let’s just be kind to each other. That is the least we can do for each other. There is so much going on on social media otherwise. There is so much awareness out here, so much conscious awareness in terms of what problems people are going through mentally, emotionally. Why contribute more and more towards people’s issues?”
Ravish then said, “The least you and I can do is to be kind and compassionate towards every single person out here. You are not going to take anything apart from that. It’s a request. Please just stay away and give us the privacy that we need.”
Earlier in the post, Ravish had written, “After much contemplation and thought, Mugdha and I decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. It’s been more than a year now. We have had a beautiful journey together, one of love, friendship, and respect, and that will continue all our lives. We request our beloved fans, well-wishers, and the media to be kind and supportive and give us the privacy we need to heal. Kindly do not believe in any false stories and statements. Thank you for your love and support.”
