Amidst threats to Salman Khan from Lawrence Bishnoi, Vivek Oberoi’s old speech praising the community goes viral; ‘In every household, including mine…’ – Times of India

In a shocking turn of events, senior politician Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12, in Mumbai, allegedly by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. While police investigation is still underway, it is being widely reported that Baba Siddique was murdered since he was close to Salman Khan, who has been under the scanner of the gang since years.

Amidst all this, an old video of actor Vivek Oberoi praising the Bishnoi community (and not the gang) has been going viral.

In the speech, the Saathiya actor said, “In every household, including mine, we feed cow’s milk to kids. There’s only one community in the whole world – the Bishnoi community – where if a fawn’s mother dies, the Bishnoi mothers take it in their laps and feed them milk like they feed their kids. You won’t find this anywhere else in the world.”

Coming back to the assassination of Baba, Salman’s Khan security has been upgraded to the Y+ category, soon after the murder. As per India Today, the security entourage will include police escort cars, who will travel with Salman when he steps out. He will also be accompanied by a constable, who has been trained to use all weapons.
This apart, Salman Khan’s personal security has also been beefed up, and it was reported that he has been advised not to entertain any visitors for the next few weeks. However, a close family friend of the actor told ETimes that Salman khan’s doors have always been open for friends and colleagues of the film industry. The actor has not stopped anyone from visiting his house, but the family is a bit more cautious. The friend also added that despite the threat, Salman has made sure to stand by Baba Siddique’s family.

On the other hand, Salim khan has also been asked to exercise caution, as he goes for his morning walk in Bandra everyday. The actor’s Panvel farmhouse has also seen a security upgrade, though Salman spends more time in Mumbai now. This was confirmed by sources in Navi Mumbai police.
Baba Siddique was not only famous for his political work but for his unbreakable bonds of friendship.
Salman Khan and Baba Siddique had been close friends for over two decades. Bollywood’s ‘Sultan’ always made a point to grace Siddique’s annual Iftar parties. They stood by one another in every thick and thin. Thus, it wasn’t easy for Salman Khan to see and pay his respects to the mortal remains of his close friend.
Despite the threats made directly to Salman Khan by the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the actor had arrived at Siddique’s residence to stand in solidarity with the grieving family. Though reportedly he was constantly on call with Zeeshan (Baba Siddique’s son), overlooking funeral arrangements, he couldn’t stay at his house during the difficult times. He arrived at the Siddique’s residence in his black car with tight security. A cop vehicle closely followed Salman’s car. When the actor was leaving the house, making his way through the large crowd, he was seen teary-eyed.
