PUNE: Maharashtra prosecution Thursday informed the court of special judge UM Mudholkar in Pune that the state government has given its sanction to prosecute two doctors and a mortuary staff of Sassoon General Hospital arrested in Porsche Taycan car crash case. Two young software engineers had died when the Porsche car driven by the 17-year-old son of a prominent city builder hit their bike from behind in Kalyaninagar on May 19.teenager was returning home at Wadgaon Sheri along with two friends and his family driver, after visiting a couple of pubs in Mundhwa to celebrate the completion of their Class XII board exams. The hospital’s forensic science department head Dr Ajay Taware, casualty medical officer Dr Shrihari Halnor and mortuary staffer Atul Ghatkamble are facing charges of conspiring with the teenage driver‘s father to manipulate the minor’s blood alcohol test by swapping his blood sample with that of his mother’s in exchange for money.
The teenage driver’s case is pending before the Juvenile Justice Board and the police’s plea seeking the minor’s trial as an adult is also pending before the board.
