Elon Musk reacts to reports that he could be deported for immigration violation – Times of India

Elon Musk earlier clarified that he did not break immigration rules when he came to US.

SpaceX and Tesla boss Elon Musk might get deported as he had worked illegally in the US in the 1990s, reports claimed citing company documents and experts. Reacting to the viral news, Elon Musk wrote, “A lot of people still don’t believe me when I say that the Dems will do everything in their power to destroy me if they win on Nov 5th.” Elon Musk is not only supporting Donald Trump in the election but also eyeing a government department in the Trump administration. Earlier, he said he will be fu**ed if Kamala Harris wins the election.
The Washington Post which is not endorsing any presidential candidate this year recently reported that Elon Musk’s immigration issued were so serious that investors refused to give him millions of dollars unless he sorted out his immigration status withing 45 days. The report cited a member of the board of the previous company who confirmed that Musk’s immigration status in the 1990s was “not what it should be”.

Musk is from South Africa and he dismissed allegations that he violated US immigration law.
The report said that in 1995, Musk was admitted to Stanford University’s graduate school but didn’t enroll in classes. He used his student visa to stay in the US and worked on what later became Zip2, Musk’s online business directory, the first company that he founded.
Musk received US work authorization in 1997 and became a US citizen in 2002.

President Joe Biden called Musk an “illegal worker” and said: “That wealthiest man in the world turned out to be an illegal worker here when he was here.”
“He was supposed to be in school when he came on a student visa. He wasn’t in school. He was violating the law. He’s talking about all these ‘illegals’ coming our way,” Biden said.
“I was in fact allowed to work in the US,” Musk wrote, accusing Biden of lying. “I was on a J-1 visa that transitioned to an H1-B,” Musk wrote. “They know this, as they have all my records. Losing the election is making them desperate.”
