‘Very hurt’: BJP’s Kiren Rijiju on Mallikarjun Kharge’s ‘choice of words’ for PM Modi | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kiren Rijiju on Thursday objected to remarks made by Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge against Prime Minister Narendra Modi terming it “objectionable”.
“I felt very hurt by words used by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge against PM Modi yesterday. It is objectionable,” Rijiju said in a press conference in Maharashtra.
A day before at a rally in Jharkhand, Kharge had called PM Modi “jhoothon ka sardar” (chief of liers) and accused him of not fulfilling any poll promise. “He says big things but doesn’t do it. He is the chief of liers,” Kharge had said.
“Today, people around the world seek inspiration from PM Modi. Yesterday, Donald Trump also spoke to PM Modi after he became president-elect. I strongly condemn the use of such words by the Congress President,” Rijiju added.

Donald Trump and PM Modi spoke shortly after the former was elected 47th president of the United States. According to PTI sources, Trump told PM Modi that whole world loves him and India is a magnificent country and he is a magnificent man.
Both leaders “reaffirmed their commitment” to working together to further strengthen bilateral ties across a range of sectors, the MEA said.
PM Modi had on Wednesday night posted on X that he had a “great conversation” with his “friend” Trump.
