Indian-Americans in Silicon Valley rally in solidarity with Hindus in Canada, Bangladesh – Times of India

Indian-Americans organised a protest rally in California’s Silicon Valley, and called upon officials to condemn human rights abuses and ensure the protection of Hindu minorities by holding the governments of Canada and Bangladesh responsible.
Protesters chanted slogans including “Stop Khalistani terrorism, protect Canadian-Hindus” and “Stop Islamist terrorism, protect Bangladeshi-Hindus”.
Community leaders strongly criticised the inadequate response to the assault on Hindu worshippers at Brampton’s Hindu Sabha temple, where Khalistani groups carried out attacks.
“We saw videos of the Khalistani terrorists invading the temple premises and beating up men, women, and children. It was horrible to see Hindus who had gone to celebrate the Diwali festival being hounded by those goons,” the press release said.
“To make matters worse, we saw that the police were already infiltrated with Khalistan supporters and were beating up Hindu devotees. Freedom of violence is being dressed up as freedom of expression in Canada. We have lost all faith in the Trudeau government in protecting the basic human rights of Canadian-Hindus,” it added.
Pushpita Prasad, representing the Coalition of Hindus in North America (CoHNA), voiced concerns about her Canadian team being targeted and profiled by Sikhs for Justice, an organisation banned in India but operating without restrictions in the US and Canada.
