US Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday broke the silence after her loss to Donald Trump in the recently concluded presidential election with a video where she appeared sad and subdued.
‘I just have to remind you, don’t you ever let anybody take your power from you. You have the same power that you did before November 5th,’ she said in a video for her supporters, referencing the date of the presidential election that she lost to President-elect Donald Trump.

During the past three weeks, Trump has proceeded with transition activities, announcing numerous Cabinet appointments. He is all set to take the power on January 20, 2025.
The video showed her in professional attire, appearing tired whilst delivering her 28-second message.
“And you have the same purpose that you did. And you have the same ability to engage and inspire,” she continued. “So don’t ever let anybody or any circumstance take your power from you.”

The motivation behind the vice president’s encouraging message remains unclear, though social media users questioned her state of mind.
“Have you been drinking?” asked actor Kevin Sorbo, in an X post replying to the Democrat’s video. Meanwhile another user said, “Ooof she looks rough. Couple too many drinks?”

“Is putting her on when she’s clearly drunk really appropriate?” another user commented.
The vice president hasn’t ruled out future presidential aspirations. Her previous presidential campaign in 2020 ended before the Iowa caucuses, though Biden subsequently chose her as his running mate.
Her first public appearance with Biden post-election occurred on November 11 at Arlington Cemetery’s Veterans Day ceremony, followed by the Bidens hosting Trump at the White House two days later.
