CHENNAI: A private passenger plane that departed from Chennai to Kochi this morning made an emergency return to Chennai airport due to a sudden mechanical failure while flying. Thanks to the pilot’s quick actions, the plane avoided danger, and all 90 people on board, including 84 passengers, were safely rescued.
The private passenger plane, carrying 84 passengers and 6 crew members, took off from the domestic airport in Chennai at 6.30am, heading to Kochi in Kerala. While flying, the plane experienced a sudden mechanical failure. The pilot immediately alerted the control room at Chennai airport, which instructed the plane to return and land safely. The plane landed back at Chennai airport at 7.15am, and all passengers were safely disembarked and accommodated in the airport lounges.
