NFL continues its partnership with rapper Jay-Z in light of serious sexual assault accusations that involved Diddy | NFL News – Times of India


Jay-Z, the famous rapper and husband of Beyoncé is currently involved in a sexual assault allegation that happened back in 2000. But NFL has made it clear that they are still supporting Jay-Z and their partnership with the globally famous rapper remains unchanged even if he has been accused in such a serious and controversial crime. Recenly, NFL held a press conference with Netflix where Roger Goodell, the Commisioner of NFL spoke about how they are aware of what’s happening with Jay-Z but their partnership with the rapper wont be changing basis this controversial allegation. He also mentioned that this partnership also includes continuing with the partnership for the next Super Bowl as it was planned before. He said, “We are aware of the civil allegations and Jay-Z’s really strong response to that. But from our standpoint, our relationship is not changing with them, including our preparations for the next Super Bowl.”

The NFL Has Been Partnering With Jay-Z Since 5 Years Now

Jay-Z and the NFL go back a long time where Jay-Z has been responsible for famous Super Bowl half time performances. These performances includes performances by his wife Beyonce also. Roger, the NFL commissioner has also spoken about how the NFL and Jay-Z have come together for year many initiatives.
This controversial case actually began with another famous rapper who has been arrested few months ago – Sean ‘Diddy’. Few months ago it was exposed that Diddy hosts certain parties where many women have been sexually assaulted. This case broughout widespread protests to arrest him and actually also brought many high profile celebrities under radar. These celebs include high profile names who have been regularly spotted over the years attending Diddy’s parties.

Jay-Z And His Legal Team Deny This Allegation

Jay-Z has been accused by a woman who claims that back in 2000 at the MTV Video Music Awards afterparty when she was only 13 years old, Jay-Z and Diddy had reportedly sexually assaulted her. The woman has not been named but Jay-Z’s legal team has come out with a statement where they deny these allegations. The legal team has issued a statement where they say the accuser’s lawyer Tony Buzbee has filed this “fake” case against the popular rapper and husband of Beyoncé Jay-Z out of personal vendetta. Jay-Z’s legal team have very sternly rejected this claim while Jay-Z himself has issued a statement against such an allegation.
He also reiterated his legal team’s statement and highlighted how this is a case of personal issues of Tony Buzbee, the accuser’s lawyer and not based on an actual crime that took place back in 2000. He said,“I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the projects of Brooklyn. We protect children; you seem to exploit people for personal gain.”
