‘Pushpa-2’ stampede: Injured child responds after 20 days, father says Allu Arjun, Telangana govt providing support | India News – Times of India


HYDERABAD: Father of the child injured in the December 4 Sandhya theatre stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad, on Tuesday said that his son responded after 20 days by opening his eyes and his condition was improving. He also said that both actor Allu Arjun and the Telangana government were providing support for the treatment.
“The child responded after 20 days. He is improving. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government are supporting us,” said Bhaskar.

The tragic incident happened on December 4, after Tollywood star Allu Arjun arrived at a screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya theatre. The stampede claimed the life of a young mother and left her son critically injured.
Following the incident, a case was registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections. The actor, named as accused no. 11, was arrested on December 13 and granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the next day.
On Tuesday, Allu Arjun was questioned for over three hours at the Chikkadpally police station. A police team led by central zone DCP Akshansh Yadav interrogated the actor about his arrival, departure, and the role of his security team in managing the crowd. He was also asked about whether he was aware of the denied permissions for his visit and the sequence of events during the screening.
