2025 likely to be one of the 3 warmest years on record
Meanwhile, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) on Monday warned that the record-breaking temperatures of 2024 will likely continue next year with the greenhouse gas (GHG) levels growing to record “observed highs, locking in even more heat for the future”.
The warning factored in the UK Met office outlook for 2025, suggesting that it is likely to be one of the three warmest years for global average temperature, falling in line just behind 2024 and 2023.
