The incident unfolded while Mumbai were fielding, defending a total of 125 against Rajasthan at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.Regrettably, this is not an isolated occurrence; similar incidents have occurred in the past involving players like Rohit and Virat Kohli.The fan managed to approach Rohit, who was standing at slip, and proceeded to hug and shake hands with him, as well as extending the same gesture to wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, who was standing alongside the Indian skipper.
Prompt action was taken by security personnel, who swiftly escorted the fan out of the playing area, ensuring the safety and security of the players and maintaining the integrity of the match.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya continued to find himself at the receiving end of crowd’s displeasure with the Mumbai Indians skipper being booed again at the toss time.

However, former India player and toss presenter Sanjay Manjrekar has come out in support of Hardik and asked the Wankhede crowd to behave and a big round of applause for MI skipper.
Pandya was badly booed by the crowd in MI’s first two matches played at Ahmedabad and Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 but his homecoming did not bring any change of fortune.
