NEW DELHI: At least six persons traveling in Pushpak Express were killed after being struck by the Karnataka Express train in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district.
According to officials quoted by PTI, the passengers had stepped out of their coaches, fearing a possible fire on the train, when the accident occurred.
The incident took place on the railway tracks, where the passengers were standing after the chain of the Pushpak Express was pulled. Unaware of the danger, they were struck by the Karnataka Express, leading to multiple casualties.
At least 8 passengers of Pushpak Express were hit by Karnataka Express coming from the other side, causing them serious injuries.
